The west coast of South Africa holds a lot of potential for epic surf. Left points, reefs and rock slabs abound in this region, oftentimes with few locals at the lesser known spots. Typically a strong west groundswell and light east wind are needed to make these spots fire. Regional classics like Elands Bay and Vredenberg Point can absolutely fire with the right conditions.
